AAJA North Carolina is a chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association.

The North Carolina chapter was founded in 2005 by a small group of AAJA members who had moved here from other states. We began recruiting colleagues in television, newspapers and ethnic media, along with students from local colleges. At the end of a probationary year in December 2006, we became the 20th chapter of AAJA.
The chapter meets every four to six weeks for a social event: either a tour of an Asian cultural site or dinner at a local restaurant. We also host mentoring events for students, attend job fairs as recruiters, and are host "media access" workshops to help Asian American community organizations understand how to work with the media.
